The main purpose of the Ori-module project is to design an implementation of the twisting tower principal that is durable, scalable, modular, and readily manufactured.

Previous iterations of the twisting tower concept required specific humidity considerations and were quite fragile, needing application of water to sustain flexibility

This modular system is intended to be a test platform for developing and testing applications for origami robotics. Such a platform would be compatible with mobile robotics systems and capable of surviving a rugged environment. The system's modularity allows a tower to be built to meet application specific needs.
